BEAN STATION — Dogs dressed as cows and other Halloween characters wagged through the crowd Saturday, October 25, during Barktober, a
seasonal adoption and fundraising event hosted by the Grainger County Humane Society.
The event featured a costume parade, trick-or-treat stations and an auction. Volunteers handed out treats while families visited with adoptable animals and decorated
bags. President Keith McDaniel was on hand overseeing the event and auction.
Several dogs met potential families during the festivities, and volunteers shared information about fostering and adoption.
