THORN HILL – Grainger County will again revisit a possible waterline extension in the Thorn Hill community.
A series of public meetings has been scheduled for residents of the area to comment on the proposed project. The first meeting will be held Tuesday, September 23 and a second meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 2. Both meetings will take place at the Thorn Hill Community Center.
This will be the third effort to bring treated water to the Thorn Hill area. The last effort to bring treated water to the area took place in 2022, but failed when a proposed agreement with Sneedville Utility District to sell water for a waterline to be constructed in the area failed.
