A Galentine’s-themed cookie decorating class is set for Saturday, February 7, at The Unkind Raven, offering a creative afternoon for friends looking to celebrate together.

The class will take place at 2 p.m. at the shop’s location at 1214 Gay Street in Dandridge. Tickets are $46 per person and include five cookies, icing, step-by-step instruction with a live demonstration and a cranberry sangria mocktail.

Designed for beginners and those curious about cookie decorating, the 1.5-hour class will cover the basics of sugar cookies, piping practice with royal icing, decorating strategies and general concepts related to dough and icing. All supplies are provided and participants will leave with their decorated cookies and a better understanding of fundamental techniques.

The class is open to most ages, with a recommended minimum age of 8 years old. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent. Due to space limitations, all attendees must have a ticket and observers are not permitted.

Tickets are nonrefundable. Cookies and icing are produced in a home kitchen under Tennessee food cottage law. Possible allergens include wheat, egg and milk. Products do not contain nuts, but the kitchen is not nut-free.

The event offers a hands-on, relaxed way to spend an afternoon learning a new skill while celebrating friendship.
