GRAINGER COUNTY — A new cookie flavor is set to join the iconic Girl Scout Cookie lineup when the 2026 season begins early next year.
Girl Scouts of the USA announced that a new cookie called Exploremores will debut nationwide during the upcoming sales season. The sandwich-style cookie is inspired by rocky road ice cream and features chocolate wafers filled with chocolate marshmallow and toasted almond-flavored crème.
The new addition will be available alongside longtime favorites such as Thin Mints Samoas also known as Caramel deLites and Tagalongs also called Peanut Butter Patties.
The annual Girl Scout Cookie season typically runs from January through April though exact dates may vary by council. Cookies are sold by local troops through booth sales and online ordering options.
Officials said the cookie program continues to serve as a major fundraiser for Girl Scout troops while helping members develop important life skills including goal setting decision making money management and customer service.
Proceeds from cookie sales remain within local councils and help fund troop activities community projects and leadership opportunities throughout the year.
Local residents are encouraged to watch for announcements from area Girl Scout troops as the 2026 cookie season approaches.
