GREENEVILLE – There were only two touchdowns for the Grainger High School Grizzlies in their contest against second-ranked Greeneville High School Friday, October 24 but
they were two of the best scores the team has produced all year. In the second quarter against the Greene Devils, Grainger quarterback Colton Parrott fired a dart to Ayden
Dalton in the end zone when the senior back had slipped behind the defense for a 21-yard score. Freshman Axel Vences was good on the extra point.
Later in the game, Nathan Hobby showed his big-play potential once again when he was on the receiving end of a pass from Parrott and the speedy receiver blew past Greeneville’s secondary for a 74-yard score. Hobby is now averaging 19 yards per catch and has found the end zone four times. Other than that, however, it was all Greeneville and they won 70-13.

Parrott finished with 105 yards for the Grizzlies but the Greene Devils used four different quarterbacks – all of which had at least one touchdown pass – and were led by starter Caden Baugh
who went 7-for-8 for 221 yards and three scores. University of Tennessee- commit Zaydyn Anderson was his go-to guy as he finished the game with 116 yards and two touchdowns and also had
a punt return for a TD.

The Grizzlies have a short week when they will play at Seymour High School Thursday, October 30 in the season finale. “We have to flush this game out and also, we don’t have a true teaching day
as we will go right into our install in practice,” Grizzlies head coach Michael Manis said. “We will be going against a much improved Seymour team compared to last year.”
