Virl Owens

Virl Owens, age 94, of Rutledge, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 15, 2025. She was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother, Mamaw, and Nanny. She was proceeded in death by her parents, siblings, daughter Barbara Evans, and grandson Kevin Evans.

Survived by daughters Evelyn (Drew) Burchell, Jane (Danny) Lowe, Donna (Bruce) McDaniel, and sons Kim Owens and Ricky Owens; son in law; Eddie Evans, Grandchildren Angie Evans, Jennifer “Pooh” Lowe, Angela Evans(Kevin), Lori(Charles)McCarter, Travis(Jen) Lowe, Nikki(Chad)Seals, Shana(Donnie)Kahn, Tessa Owens(Michael-Paul), and Jake(Jordyn)Owens; Great grandchildren Cody(Brandy)McCarter, Noah(Lexi)McCarter, Cassie(Ean)Martin, Alex Lynn Keelyn Evans, Kaley Lowe, Lane and Clay Seals, Hadlee McCarter, Dylan and Emery Kahn; Great great-grandchildren Drake McCarter, Carson and Collins McCarter, and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Special thanks to Holly Ayers with UT Medical Center Hospice, Dr. Matthew Edwards and staff, Curtis (Donna)Wells, and Chris Smith.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00PM, Friday, November 21, 2025 at Blue Springs Baptist Church with funeral to follow.

Family and friends will gather at 10:45AM, Saturday, November 22, 2025 for an 11:00AM graveside service in Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
