Washburn Area Youth has announced registration details for its 2026 baseball and softball season, offering both online and in-person signup options for local families.

Online registration opened January 1 and will remain available through February 8. Families may register through the Grainger County Little League portal at clubs.bluesombrero.com, where additional program and registration information is available.

According to Washburn Area Youth, one in-person signup will be held Friday, February 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Washburn School cafeteria. Parents are asked to bring payment along with their child’s shirt size and preferred jersey number.

The program is open to children ages three through twelve. Three-year-olds must turn three by December 31, 2025. Registration fees are $55 per player for Wee Ball and $70 per player for Tee Ball and up, with a discounted fee of $60 for additional siblings.

Divisions offered include Wee Ball and Tee Ball, which are co-ed, along with Minor League coach pitch and kid pitch and Major League play for both baseball and softball. All divisions are dependent on the number of participants registered.

Practices are scheduled to begin in March, with games planned for April and May. Families with questions may contact Tyler Clay at 865-679-3987 or Eric Humdley at 865-369-0810.
