WASHBURN – The Washburn High School basketball teams are heading into a packed and pivotal stretch of the season as an updated game schedule sets the stage for multiple road matchups, home action and a special Senior Night celebration.
The Pirates will open the run on Monday, February 10, traveling to Thomas Walker for a junior varsity boys game scheduled for 5 p.m. Washburn remains on the road the following night, Tuesday, February 11, with another JV boys matchup at Hancock, also tipping off at 5 p.m.
Action returns home on Wednesday, February 12, when Washburn hosts Chuckey-Doak in a JV boys contest at 5 p.m. The night carries extra significance as the Pirates honor their seniors, recognizing the dedication, leadership and hard work of student-athletes who have represented Washburn throughout their high school careers.
The Pirates hit the road again on Thursday, February 13, traveling to Union County for a JV boys game scheduled for 5 p.m. The stretch concludes on Tuesday, February 17, when Washburn welcomes Pineville to town for a varsity girls matchup set for 6 p.m., offering fans another chance to pack the gym and cheer on the Lady Pirates.
With momentum building and postseason implications looming, the upcoming slate provides Washburn with valuable opportunities to sharpen skills, build confidence and celebrate the heart of Pirate basketball.
