BLAINE – Excitement is building as Blaine officials gear up for what is expected to be the community’s largest Christmas parade to date. The parade will roll out Saturday, December 13, at 1 p.m., bringing a Winter Wonderland theme and a surge of holiday spirit to Rutledge Pike.

City leaders reported a sharp rise in interest from participants this year. More floats, more classic cars, more motorcycles and more community groups are expected to line up, signaling what many believe will be a record turnout. For the first time in recent memory, the City of Blaine will debut its own official float, adding to the momentum and encouraging residents and employees to join in the celebration.

Blaine police said preparations are well underway. Officers are planning enhanced traffic control and improved flow. With the growing number of entries and spectators, officials say they are committed to making this year’s event smoother, safer and even more festive.

In other business, the board briefly discussed billboard regulations inside the city limits. Members voted to table the topic and revisit it at a future meeting.
