RUTLEDGE — A busy and successful stretch of hands-on experiences at Grainger High School turned into a full celebration as students marked an official Work-Based Learning Week.
Students wrapped up the semester with portfolio presentations highlighting the real-world skills and workplace experience they gained through their work-based learning placements. The presentations reflected growth in professionalism communication and job-specific knowledge developed through on-the-job learning.
Educators emphasized that the wide range of lessons students encounter in real workplace settings cannot be replicated in a traditional classroom making these experiences an essential part of career preparation.
Work-Based Learning Week also recognized the importance of strong partnerships between schools and local business and industry partners who provide students with meaningful opportunities to learn, grow and prepare for future success.
